The US Supreme Court ruled that all Americans can carry guns in public, and it struck down New York’s restrictive gun laws.

New York has had very severe restrictions on this for nearly 100 years, requiring you to carry a permit to own a gun in public. It is now declared invalid.

The six US Supreme Court justices are conservative, and believe the gun law is unconstitutional.

President Joe Biden is deeply disappointed with the decision.

– Biden says I am very disappointed with the Supreme Court’s decision.

This decision is against common sense and the Constitution and should be something we are very concerned about, says the President.

Now it’s open to people who don’t have a special handicap to carry guns on the New York subway and in Times Square.

New York Governor Cathy Hochhol said she would consider calling the state assembly home after the recess to consider how to respond to the decision.

The NRA says the decision is a victory for them.

Biggest decision in 12 years

The resolution allows more Americans the right to carry guns on the streets in major cities such as New York, Los Angeles and Boston.

AP . news agency He writes that the decision affects a quarter of the population in the country.

The Biden administration urged the Supreme Court not to challenge the New York law. Similar laws in other states are likely to come to court now.

It’s the first major gun decision in the US Supreme Court in more than a decade. In 2010, the Supreme Court ruled that all Americans should have the right to own guns in their home.

Contrary to popular belief

The ruling comes at a time when Congress is actively working on new firearms legislation after several recent mass shootings.

Perhaps the Supreme Court’s decision is against public opinion.

Opinion polls show that about half of voters who voted in the 2020 presidential election thought gun laws should be tightened.

Only one in ten believes gun laws should be liberalized.
