The United States should prioritize school security over Ukraine

The former US president chose to speak on behalf of armed lobbyists in the same state where 19 children and two adults were killed in a school shooting three days ago.

The speech began with thanks for the invitation, and came out with a sigh of relief for the speakers who chose not to attend in light of the elementary school shooting.

“Unlike some others, I didn’t disappoint you by not showing up,” Trump began.

Together we will be strong for many years to come. I greatly appreciate all those present, and I would like to express my gratitude to all who are here today. He continued: You are the backbone of our movement and our country.

The United States will be given priority

During a speech in Houston three days after the shooting in Texas, the former president came with a stab at the current government’s handling of the Ukraine war.

We spent trillions in Iraq and Afghanistan, and got nothing for it. Before we build the nation in the rest of the world, we must build safe schools for our children in our nation, he told the jubilant audience.

He thinks more people should have guns

According to the former president, the school shooting, in which 19 people were killed, shows that more people should have guns.

Restricting the basic rights of law-abiding Americans to protect themselves is not the answer. He said in the letter that he never was.

He described the incident as “absolute evil”, but stressed that a good citizen should not lose his right to self-defense because of a malicious act.

– That there is evil in the world, there is no need to disarm law-abiding citizens. One of the best reasons to arm them, Trump said, is the existence of evil.

Barbarian work

Early in the speech, he made reference to the school shooting at Robb Elementary School.

“It was an act of barbarism that shocked the country,” Trump said, before ordering silence as he read the names of the 21 people killed in the mass shooting.

Trump called the perpetrator pure evil, but indicated early on that he fell out with politicians who, soon after the massacre, focused on wanting to tighten gun laws.

“They are trying to spread extremist political propaganda,” Trump said.

The former US president was clear that the problem was mental health, not the guns themselves.

– What we need is security in schools. Each building should have only one entrance, metal detectors, and large fences that prevent unauthorized entry. Trump added that he should also be an armed police officer in the districts at all times.

Announce cancellation

Wednesday’s school shooting at Robb Elementary School was expected to coincide with this weekend’s national meeting of the National Rifle Association (NRA) lobby in Houston, Texas.

Several artists who were due to perform after the Ovaldi massacre have pulled out – including “American Pie” star Don McClain and country artist Lee Greenwood.

Additionally, Republican Congressmen John Cornyn and Dan Crenshaw have resigned. But Texas Governor Greg Abbott did not run physically Share By sending a video from Ovaldi.

Abbott said an anonymous donor will donate $175,000 to ensure all funeral-related expenses for all families are taken care of.
