“It is with great sadness that I can confirm the death of my son Jethro. At this moment, we appreciate the respect for the family’s privacy,” reads an official statement from Nick Cave, lead singer of Bad Seeds.
Jethro Lazenby, who turned 31 on April 30, was the son of Nick Cave and model Bo Lazenby, although he only met his father when he was seven or eight, depending on sources. The boy pursued his mother’s career, having received a few small roles in the cinema. However, in recent years he has revealed an aggressive face that has led him to serve prison sentences.
Another incident was against the mother. According to local media reports, Beau found Jethro at her door and convinced her to give him shelter. But the next morning, an argument ensued between the two during which Jethro brutally attacked his mother, after she had been arrested.
