Immunization continues in primary health care units for children from the age of 6 months to less than 5 years and the elderly
The Indaiatuba Health Department held a D-Day for influenza vaccination last Saturday in several basic health units, as well as Parque da Crianca and Praça Dom Pedro. In all, 2,545 people were vaccinated throughout the day.
Sade’s secretary, Graziela Garcia, celebrated the number and said she would look at other events at the weekends. We are pleased that the influenza vaccine use has been high. Commenting on that, we will be holding more events like this during the month, to further expand our vaccination coverage. As the middle of the year approaches, temperatures drop and respiratory illnesses increase, Garcia noted, we need to protect ourselves and children from the flu.
In Indaiatuba, 22,878 doses of influenza vaccine have already been administered, 16,988 to the elderly, 3,279 to health workers, 2,568 to children, 120 to pregnant women and 13 to Purbera.
UBS vaccination in Indaiatuba runs from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, for children older than 6 months and less than 5 years, seniors over 60, pregnant women, Purpera and health professionals.
