The sale of the Chinese brand’s models in Portugal will be based on a hybrid sales system, through the brand’s “online” platform or physical dealer network.. The brand at this initial stage is already represented by Univex, in Lisbon, and CAM, in Porto, with plans to expand to other agents spread across the national territory very soon.
After-sales assistance from Aiways is provided by Astara and its network, which, if necessary, resort to an express international support system, which guarantees the delivery of parts within three days in any European market.
In line with the brand’s investment on a global scale, with a focus on launching new markets, product development and sustainable mobility, Aiways plans to introduce a new model every calendar year, starting with the U6 SUV. Coupe already in 2022.
The U5 is Aiways’ first model and begins marketing in Portugal with the most complete equipment level, called Prime, putting it in line with the top of the electric vehicle market in terms of safety, comfort and onboard technology.
With a range of up to 400 km (Urban Circuit – WLTP), guaranteed by a 63 kWh battery – compatible with DC fast charging systems – the Aiways U5 offers one of the most efficient price/range ratios in the entire European market 100% cars Electric all-wheel drive.
In fast charging mode, the battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in just 35 minutes, using a DC charger (90 kW). Charging from 0% to 100% takes less than 10 hours using the AC charger (6.6 kW, Type 2), allowing for overnight refueling at home.
The electric motor generates 150 kW (204 hp) and 310 Nm of torque, accelerating from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.8 seconds.
The Aiways U5 comes with a general manufacturer warranty of five years/150,000 km and 8 years/150,000 km for batteries.
The launch campaign price starts at €46,728 (Customer Financing from Santander only), with a special fleet rate of €33,990 + VAT.
The first Chinese electric car company to enter Europe, Aiways is already present in nine other markets – Germany, Belgium, Denmark, Spain, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Sweden and Switzerland.
