Sofia Arruda decided to open her heart and with great courage to publicly assume, through an Instagram post, that she was going through a delicate moment related to her mental health.
“Mental health. I don’t know how your mental health is, considering the torrent of news we’ve seen in the last week. Mine has been doing better. And I feel that by following the different media that are reporting between them, I’m not doing well,” he admits.
The actress explains that she made a decision in the hope of improving her mental state. “I watch the same news and read it and reread it over and over again throughout the day. But I stopped. Now I choose exactly which media outlet I want to see and what time of day I see it. In my case, in the morning, because if I see it at night I can’t sleep,” he says.
In addition to reading only a few select information about the situation in Ukraine, Sofia Arruda chose, from now on, “not to republish all the news about the war as she used to.”
“I watch in moderation, but I won’t spend my days reposting things on my social media. If I find something really relevant, I’ll share it, but other than that on my networks, you’ll find my work, my family and my friendship for you.” If you feel overwhelmed, speak up. To a psychiatrist, that would help, my dear friend Philippa Mallo, for example,” he ends.
