In this episode, the program talks about lightning, the intense electrical discharges that occur in the atmosphere, and the connection of the Earth with storm clouds. The release explains why Brazil is the world champion in this phenomenon and is on track to reach an annual average of 100 million lightning strikes.
This attraction also looks at the global impacts of the eruption of the Hang-Tonga-Hongga-Hapai volcano in Tonga, Oceania, which occurred in January of this year. According to NASA, the explosion was so violent that it exceeded the power of an atomic bomb.

Since 2020, Ciência é Tudo provides information on the history of science, human inventions, curiosities and reflections on the impact of science and technology on people’s daily lives. Science in everyday life has also inspired episodes in biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, engineering, film, and astronomy, among other fields. A trip to Maranhão also revealed details about the Alcantara Launch Center (CLA), which has been operating since 1989 to launch rockets.
