Net Worth of Binance CEO is valued at $96 billion

It seems that one of the biggest secrets of the crypto elite has been revealed: the global amount of wealth of Changpeng Zhao, CEO and founder of the world’s largest cryptocurrency platform, Binance.

For the first time, it appears that the Bloomberg Billionaires Index has managed to assess the fortune of one of the biggest numbers in the cryptocurrency market, having concluded that CZ, as the Canadian-Chinese entrepreneur is now known, has a net worth of $96 billion.

The fortune of the 44-year-old millionaire exceeds the net worth of the richest person in Asia, Mukesh Ambani, so if this information is confirmed, the businessman will occupy the eleventh place in the table led by Elon Musk, whose net worth is estimated. $263 billion.

The index, however, suggests that this assessment may be “close”, given that it did not take into account all Changpeng Zhao’s crypto wallets, which certainly consist of bitcoin, the currency that the entrepreneur has a particular passion for and with which she started investing in, and Binance Coin, which is up 1,300% in the last year alone.

Binance: The Fight Against Regulators

The largest cryptocurrency exchange is currently in a fight with several global regulators, after being expelled from China and banned from Thailand and the United Kingdom. In an interview with Negócios in early December, Changpeng Zhao emphasized, however, that the company had already taken important steps toward “compliance” and was already maintaining a “proactive dialogue with regulators”.

The platform has already advanced with licensing applications in several jurisdictions, including Portugal and Spain, according to information provided by the Binance CEO last year.

At the moment, crypto-asset enthusiasts are still searching for a financial center location. In November last year, attention turned to Dubai, where CZ chose the area to purchase his first home.

When asked at the time whether this was a clue as to where Binance’s new headquarters will be, Changpeng Zhao stated that “Dubai is friendly to the crypto market,” but did not elaborate that this would be the platform’s choice, to choose its global home.

When asked if Portugal is going the Binance route, the CEO declined to comment on the matter, but emphasized that the country’s tax policies “are very friendly to this market, and my team has told me that this is one of the best places in the world for crypto innovation.” That’s why I came I hope to come back often,” confirmed CZ.
