After the match, which was played on Thursday, at the Estadio Dragao, FC Porto revealed that Manava had ruptured the patellar tendon in his right knee, an injury that must be corrected with surgery.

The right-back was injured in the second half of the “Classic” this Thursday, in front of Benfica, in the round of 16 of the tournament, which the “Blues and Whites” won 3-1, after falling and leaving the grass. on a stretcher.

The 27-year-old Luso Guinea defender entered the match after 29 minutes, replacing Joao Mario, who also left due to physical complaints, after a disputed bid with Benfica player Vertonghen.

And Porto added that Joao Mario suffers from a muscle problem in his left thigh, which must be re-evaluated today.
