After the outbreak of influenza, the city of São Paulo, this Friday (24) on Christmas Eve, started the vaccination against the H1N1 virus. 469 UBSs (Basic Health Units) will be open from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM to serve the public.
The vaccination announcement by the city came after it received, Thursday (23), one million doses of the H1N1 influenza vaccine from the Butantan Institute.
The institute responded to a request from Covisa (Coordination of Health Monitoring) and SMS (Municipal Health Department), which Send an official letter requesting additional doses of the flu vaccine, in an attempt to mitigate the disturbing image of Increasing the number of patients With respiratory symptoms in the past few days.
