At the age of five, Gustavo discovered the Beatles and was learning the English band’s repertoire very quickly, a child skill list that has continued to grow over the years. Currently, he is able to play guitar, bass, bass, ukulele, drums, keyboards and other instruments.
In addition to his passion for music, Gustavo was engaged in technology, and despite his young age, he is already able to install operating systems, switch Apple to Windows and use the complex system of professional musicians Logic Pro.
Since his birth, Gustavo Saldanha has always been different from other children. “He was not easy to get distracted, and he didn’t have the same interests as other children,” recalls Lucien Saldanha, Gustavo’s mother and physician in the health sciences. As soon as he learned to speak, the little boy began to show a great passion for the world of music.

With an IQ of 140, the young prodigy is currently the youngest Portuguese-Brazilian member of Mensa, the International Association of People with High IQs.
Gustavo owns the extension Support from consulting neuroscientist Fabiano de Abreu, who is also a member of Mensa, believes this case proves his thesis on the importance of brain plasticity: “Intelligence has a genetic ancestor and the phenotype produces evolution that indicates clues that can be passed on to the next generation,” he explains.
He explains, “Therefore, there is great importance to the level of education, reading and learning for the development of society. Their parents were and still are great scholars.”
The neuroscientist predicts great things for the future of the child prodigy and is already working so that his abilities are recognized in different places.
