New York (Dagbladet): Next week, Abedin will present his autobiography “Both/And,” and Watchman He gained access to the book in advance.
Abedin, 45, has known Hillary Clinton since she served as a White House intern in 1996. Since then, she has worked closely with the former first lady, senator, and presidential candidate in various positions and is often described as a kind of advisor.

In the new book, she writes about how she was sexually abused by a US Senator. She also writes that she suppressed the incident. Only when the charges against Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh surfaced did the memories return.
Senator’s dinner
Abedin makes the horrific accusations in the book, but does not identify the senator nor mention which party he came from.
It also does not write down exactly when the incident occurred, but it is mentioned in a portion of the book where Clinton was a senator from New York between 2001 and 2009.
Abedin describes a dinner where several senators and their advisors are said to have been present. Hillary Clinton should not have been there.

The Clintons Get Trump’s Revenge
– I ended up leaving with a senator, and soon we stopped in front of the building where he lived. He invited me for coffee. As soon as we walked in, he asked me to make myself comfortable on the sofa, Abedin wrote in excerpts from The Guardian.
– So shocked
She then described how the senator took off his jacket, rolled up his sleeves, and made coffee while they continued talking.
– Then everything changed in an instant. He sat on my right side, put his left arm around my shoulder and kissed me, pressed his tongue into my mouth and pushed me back on the sofa, Abedin writes.
– I was so shocked. I pushed him away. All I wanted was to delete it in the last 10 seconds.

Get support: – Heartbreaking
Clinton’s employee wrote that the senator appeared surprised, but did not apologise. Instead, he said he “misinterpreted” the situation, and asked if she wanted to stay.
– Then I said something that only a version of me from my twenties would come up with: “I’m sorry.” Then I went and tried to seem as indifferent as possible, Abedin writes.
Then she stayed away from the senator until they happened to support each other in Congress. Then, Clinton allegedly ran away and stayed with them “as if she knew I needed to be rescued even though I didn’t tell her anything that night,” Abedin writes.
It’s been Hillary Clinton’s “secret weapon” for 20 years. Now Huma Abedin is in trouble
Kavanaugh’s accusations
She later continued a friendly tone with the senator and eventually suppressed the incident. Then Donald Trump nominated Kavanaugh as the new Supreme Court justice in the summer of 2018. Shortly thereafter, Professor Christine Blasey Ford accused Kavanaugh of sexual assault at a party many years earlier. Kavanaugh himself vehemently denied it at a very emotional Senate hearing.
Republican senators have approved Kavanaugh despite the accusations and he is now sitting on the US Supreme Court.

ex-husband scandal
Earlier in October, an excerpt from Abdeen’s book was published Vogue magazine. There she describes the situation when her then-husband, Anthony Weiner, who was a congressional representative and later a candidate for mayor of New York, was caught in several scandals with sexually explicit content on social media.
In 2017, he was sentenced to 21 months in prison for sending sexual materials to a minor. In the same year, he separated from Abedin after their marriage since 2010.
