After months of being in beta, the An apple A moment ago I announced the availability of the stable version of Mac OS Monterey, now available for download.
As you might imagine, macOS Monterey comes packed with new features, such as the ability to set Macs as an AirPlay destination for playing content from iPhones and iPads, as well as shortcuts, an automation program iOS from Apple. Improvements have also been made to FaceTime, as well as a new Quick Note feature and more.
Unfortunately, some of the biggest features of this new version, such as Universal Control and SharePlay, are not yet available. Apple says these two features will be available “late this fall.”

Universal Control allows you to drag and drop files between several different devices. It will also allow you to control multiple Apple devices, including Macs, MacBooks, and iPads, using the same mouse and keyboard.
SharePlay will allow you to share experiences of music, series, movies, and more while connected via FaceTime. Once it’s available, Apple says it can use the feature with Apple Music, Apple TV+, and “popular third-party services.”
