The 77-year-old Squid Game actor admits he had to ask his daughter for help dealing with fame

Oh Yeong-su became world famous for his role in the Netflix series “Squid Game”. At the age of 77, the actor, who played player 001, conquered the international audience and since the release of the series, his life has radically changed.

After already turning down several offers to show his face in commercials, Yeong-su admits that he doesn’t have an agent and that it’s his daughter who helps him deal with the daily hustle.

I have been contacted by a lot of people, and since I do not have an agent to help me, it is difficult for me to deal with the volume of calls and messages I receive. So my daughter was helping me,” he admitted, citing the Daily Mail. “Things have changed a little. Even when I go to a coffee shop or something, I now have to be aware of it [como pareço para os outros]. This makes me think: ‘Being famous is also difficult,’ added the actor, who began his career in 1963.

Despite his fame, Yeong-su admits that he doesn’t have big ambitions for the future.

Big or small, I have received many things while living my life. Now, I want to leave behind the things I have received. For the sake of simplicity, suppose you went to a mountain and saw a flower. When we are young, we take the flower and keep it for ourselves But when you reach my age, we leave Venus just as it is and come back to see it again later. It’s the same with life. Leave things exactly as they are. He added, “It’s not easy.”

Remember, “Squid Game” was released on September 17 and is already the most watched series on the streaming platform, reaching 142 million viewers in its first month.
