TVI did a great deal of publicity to sign Tony Carreira’s exclusive contract with the channel. The singer became the first entertainer to have a connection of this kind, yet dedicated to a few – less and less – actors and presenters.
Days later, SIC, through its director Daniel Oliveira, announced on its social networks the exclusive Carrera family with the channel. This raised doubts in the minds of the Portuguese. How can Tony be exclusive to two TV stations? It may sound like a mistake, but the truth is that it will happen.
The romantic singer has a relationship with TVI – also a contributor – on his part as a solo artist, but about Fundação Sara Carreira, which was created months after the death of the 21-year-old, SIC owns all the rights to the TV. He will be the exclusive Tony from TVI in the competition.
Seeds of the future This is the name of the program that will define 21 young people who have received a scholarship from the Sara Carreira Association and in December there will be a concert broadcast on Paço de Arcos channel. TVI has accepted that whenever the topic is related to Sarah Carrera, Tony is allowed to go to other channels.
Why didn’t I get this TV exclusive too? According to developments in ‘TV Guia’ this week, Queluz de Baixo tried it out and made a much higher financial offer than its competitor SIC. But when choosing a media partner for this initiative, the association did not appreciate this factor, and opted for a resolution allowing it to be present on the two main national private channels.
The main player in the decision was Fernanda Antunes, the ex-wife of Tony Carrera, who stands in front of Assembly, because SIC was the last “home” for their daughter Sarah. Recall that the youngest daughter of the singer was one of the contestants on the show “A Máscara”. And Tony, of course, confirmed his support for that decision.
All the news in this week’s edition of TV Guia, is already on newsstands.
