There are few who find their place in the starry sky at the same speed Charlie D’Amelio (17). She has the title of “Queen of TikTok”, followed by 124.4 million at the time of writing.

As if this is not enough, her followers are growing at record speed.

The huge success that started with girls’ room dance videos reached the whole world and not so long ago she got her own reality series “The D’Amelio Show”.

Here she closely follows the 17-year-old, as well as her sister Dixie (20) and parents Heidi (49) and Mark (52), who, of course, enjoy the success of Charlize.

They may not be superstars like her, but there’s no doubt that they’ve also earned superstar status over the past year and a half. Among other things, Dixie has released several songs.

In connection with the family TV series, which is broadcast in Norway on Disney plus, Dagbladet had the opportunity to give an interview to the four-leaf clover.

– He knows while we walk

When asked how life has changed since people started noticing them and the next grew, to the day they settled in Los Angeles and are at celebrity parties, Charlie doesn’t hide that a lot has happened.

– Charlie tells Dagbladet that it’s sickening to see how far we’ve come and how much our lives have changed – even in just the last few months, and it continues:

I feel like we grow as people every day, and our daily lives change.

The TikTok star says they’re trying to understand how everything works, but they’re also focusing on their happiness and family ties.

“I feel like we’re learning while walking,” she says.

In the latest reality series, fans get an insight into the daily lives of a family of four, as well as how they handle harsh criticism and style.

According to Charlie, they are trying not to impress.

We learn from great people and work with great people. It was crazy to see our personal development, it was in a way the biggest change, she says.

– Everything has changed

However, the 17-year-old admits that it is not always easy, especially with millions of fans.

Sometimes you have a bad day, sometimes you don’t want to talk to anyone and keep to yourself. For me in particular, I used to be more insecure when talking to people, she says, and continues:

Getting used to it has been very difficult for me, but every day I learn how to do it. This is what the program shows – we who have figured out how to do it together.

How has success affected the family?

– Everything we do has changed in some way. But we are still a family that together does everything. We haven’t changed as people even though our lives have changed, so we don’t feel too extreme, Senior Sister Dixie answers.

With parental support

Charlie, who says she achieved most of what she imagined in her life when she turned 16, points out that despite the fact that life took a sudden turn, in many ways she is living the same as before.

– Obviously there are different things, but I go to the mall, shop, and go out to dinner with the family. There are many of the same, and I’m grateful for that – that I was able to do such things.

Criticism stems from vaccine refusal

Dixie says she’s also trying to live as normally as possible, but she really wants to take advantage of the opportunities she’s had to do something more.

– It’s a chance in life, and I appreciate it, she says.

When the parents asked him if they could afford the daughters, Mark replied:

Our job as parents is to protect them. Sometimes we have to protect them from ourselves. We need to know when to squeeze in a bit or back off. It’s tough, he says, and he continues:

Because I’ll see them in their faces ten years from now, and see if we’ve done the best job we can as parents by guiding them through this. It’s something we learn to do every day.

According to his father, he and wife Heidi will give their daughters love and support, which he thinks sounds like a cliché.

– But the main job is to help them do a good job through this. That’s what we’re here for, he says.
