Ball – Feyenoord destroys PSV Eindhoven (Netherlands)

PSV Eindhoven, the team that was eliminated by Benfica in the play-off to reach the Champions League, was destroyed on Sunday at the Philips Stadium by rivals Feyenoord 4-0, in a match from the fifth round of the Eredivisie.

With the Portuguese international in Rome in the 11th minute until the 72nd minute, when German coach Roger Schmidt left him for Madwicki, the locals were already losing in overtime, through veteran Jens Tornstra, who was served by Norwegian Marcus Pedersen.

Schmidt tried to respond and replaced Jaco with Carlos Vinicius, the Brazilian striker on loan from the Reds, in the 61st minute, but the score increased. At the age of 71, Colombian Luis Sinistera managed to help Brian Linsen 2-0 and Tornestra scored two goals, scoring 85, now with a pass from Cyril Desires.

The defeat was confirmed in extra time, by Dessers, after Sinisterra’s second pass of the day.

Rotterdam coach Arne Slot did not use the Portuguese logo, Joao Carlos Teixeira, who watched the match from the bench.

PSV Eindhoven are behind and hand over the isolated lead to Ajax, rival Sporting champions, now with 13 points, one point behind PSV Eindhoven. Feyenoord now ranks fifth with a score of 9.
