Park Your Things before January 6 – Speaker Tells Defeated MPs

The outgoing Speaker of Parliament of the sixth parliament of the fourth republic of Ghana, Edward Doe Adjaho has challenged defeated Members of Parliament (MP) to park and vacate their offices before January 6, 2017.

According to him, he has already packed his things and ready to vacate the speaker's office for the next speaker to take over.

Edward Doe Adjaho has also congratulated the newly elected President, Nana Akuffo-Addo who was a three times MP from 1996 to 2008.

The Speaker extended his congratulatory message to members who retained their seats and also consoled those who lost theirs and assure them of hope as they have a life.

He assured the Right to Information Bill which has been pending for almost ten years would be passed before the sixth Parliament resolved next year.

"The outgoing president, John Dramani Mahama is also expected to deliver his last state of the nation report before Parliament is dissolved.
