NDC Executive Resign Due To Party’s Defeat

The defeat of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) in last year’s December elections has started seeing some executives resigning from their positions in the party.

A former Upper West Regional Deputy Women’s Organiser of NDC Hajia Fatimata Seidu has bowed to the inevitable and resigned from the umbrella party for various reasons.

She indicated she has been disgraced, humiliated and called all sort of names because she warned that the party was going into opposition with their actions.

It would be recalled that this same woman during her time as Upper West Regional Deputy Women’s Organiser, told the media that her substantive Women’s Organizer, subjected her to bad treatment but endured it for the love she had for the party.

According to sources, Hajia Seidu, otherwise known as Framzy, has again taken herself out from all NDC platforms, boycotted committee meetings just to register her displeasure with issues at both the regional and national levels.

According to her, notable among the things she told the party officials, was that the much-touted infrastructure development under the Mahama, administration alone could not win NDC the elections.

She added that the NPP upon their internal problems such as the suspension of their executives were still focused but they ignored and hated her for uttering those words.

Hajia Seidu has served the party for a very long time after Abrow, a political group she was a member merged with the NDC in 1992.

She was the TEIN Women’s Commissioner at Wa Polytechnic from 2009 to 2010 after which she served as the deputy Regional Women’s Organiser for five (5) years from 2010 to 2015.

She then contested the position of the National deputy Women’s Organiser but lost.
