Minister-designate for Finance, Ken Ofori-Atta, speaking to the media said although there were challenges, the government would be committed to the cause of ensuring economic freedom.
According to him, the government will create an enabling environment for economic freedom and also make the economy a little more stable.
“You make commitments and then you work hard towards it and we are committed to it. We did it in 2001 and we will be able to do it again,” he stated.
Mr. Ofori-Atta indicated the president has put a team together and that government is very comfortable with it.
“I think there is money to be made. We have a lot of revenue generation [but] we are not doing enough. I think some expenses were too much. We can manage that, but more importantly how do we create economic freedom? How do you get people working for themselves? And I think that is our challenge” He stated.
